I’m quite excited to tell you that my quilt Tiempo has been featured on the 41st issue of Make Modern Magazine. And it’s been selected to be on the cover of the magazine!
This is the second time this year, after my Notre Dame quilt, that one of my designs is featured on a Make Modern Magazine cover.
“ Time is life itself, and life resides in the human heart.
___Michael Ende, Momo
For this quilt I’ve used a bright colour palette, using kona solids: Duckling, Torch, Tomato and Lupine. For the background I’ve used white to make the colour pop.
One of the great additions of this quilt is the fact that, as it is made using the inset circle technique, you can choose the position of the clock hands, which brings movement to the composition.
The design is inspired by the book Momo, written by the German writer Michael Ende, author of “The Neverending Story”. The book is an essay on the use we make of time, how human beings waste it on trivial things without giving it the importance it really has.
